About us

The concept of The Leienpaleis is to offer an uppermost elegant location that invites three energies to interact: culture, catering, and private and corporate events. The flamboyant Antwerp property is now, for the first time since it has been built, accessible to everybody, inviting all to take a journey of discovery through the glory of the 19th century. Several rooms of this sumptuous Palace are available for your private and corporate gatherings.

In The Leienpaleis, the opulent past and promising future meet each other. The contemporary productions of our artists, dancers, writers, and musicians grant the building an exciting new life. They add a connection touch to your private and corporate events as well. The LP nourishes spirit and body. Our three bars and two restaurants cater for the needs of any visitor, whether he is participating in an event, or just passing by.

After such a long period of isolation, we are at last allowed to meet again, to re-connect with the ones we have not met for the longest time and to make new captivating friendships. The LP aims to facilitate such encounters by making the halls and rooms available for rent, both for private and corporate use.

We make it a point to stimulate highly meaningful interactions, to welcome everybody within our Palace to cherish the beauty of life. Uniting, connecting and celebrating will always be the spearheads on our challenging path.

The Leienpaleis is a Legendarisch Creatief ltd project.

Ambassadors

The ambassadors are the public representation of the Leienpaleis. Each of them is an expert in his or her field and is committed to leading the Leienpaleis to success. Some of our ambassadors are artistic directors of a specific unit and resolutely help us determining the cultural discourse.

Mission statements

Mission

The flamboyant Leienpaleis deserves to be publicly and easily accessible for the first time in its history. This will be done through cultural and catering activities.

Vision

Our vision revolves around the three spearheads: unite, connect and celebrate. The Leienpaleis offers a counterbalance to the difficulties of the cultural sector by establishing an economically independent company with a catering section that aims for diversity and creativity.

The Leienpaleis accommodates artists, writers, actors, musicians and entrepreneurs in different cells, each headed by an established value from the relevant (art) branch as ambassador. These ambassadors are the face of the cell, the day-to-day operations are handled by young talent, the coordinators. The symbiosis of these cells makes Het Leienpaleis a dynamic organism that unleashes high-level events, performances and exhibitions on the world.

Ambition

The Leienpaleis will become a new tourist attraction and the most attractive cultural center in Flanders. The Leienpaleis mainly runs on catering revenues and private investments. It is not insular, but enters into solid partnerships with like-minded, international art organizations. Due to the continuous collaboration between different branches of art and people of all walks of life, it will become the hotspot for culture-loving Flemish people of all ages.

In three years' time, we must be open seven days a week, organize at least four cultural events a week and be able to set our sights on Brussels to launch a similar project there.

Collaborations with art galleries

The Leienpaleis exhibits the work of internationally renowned artists from home and abroad. This is done in collaboration with the following art galleries.
